This in turn almost scares the reader off and this is not you primary objective in article submission.

This rule is the main deciding factor on the publication of your article.

Remember that whilst writing, you may understand all the jargon and technical terms of what you are writing about, the reader does not necessarily understand these issues and you as the writer must ensure that the information is supplied in an easy to understand format during the article submission exercise. This goes for grammar and spelling too, double check the text prior to article submission, as this has an effect on credibility.

Your chance to lure readers to your website, to purchase your products and or services lies in your call to action presented to the reader as well what is contained in your resource box. Interesting Topics Vs. Writing Styles

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Knowing what topics your target audience is interested in is key to attracting them to your reading materials.

You can choose to brand yourself as an author of a niche subject such as horror stories, business management or health and fitness. Or, you can choose to write about all types of subjects. The decision is purely individual. This can also extend to age groups. For example, children’s stories or niche groups such as brides and fisherman.

The subjects can be fictional as well. Even with fictional stories, it is a good idea to research real stories to inspire you as a writer so has a strong foundation. Then you can spice it up to make it fascinating.

Without conducting a readership poll, it is difficult to know why your audience is attracted to your articles, posts or books. Maybe they like your writing style. Perhaps you have a personable style that is less technical. Or maybe you use a lot of humor in your writings that helps your readers to make a connection with you.

Maybe it is the subject alone. If you write about something that is rare, you will certainly attract a segment of the reader population that is grateful to you for writing about this subject because information on the topic is rare to find. Or, they feel you have similar interests and they look forward to reading what you have to share. To them, it is like having a great conversation or resource.

Regardless of the form of writing your choose, you need to make yourself visible. There are many actions required to successfully attract a strong readership base, especially if what you write about is limited to articles.

This includes effectively marketing yourself at related blogs and article sites or establishing your own website or blog for the sole purpose of housing your own articles. You can even become a regular contributor to someone else’s website to establish your credibility and dedicated readership.

Whatever the reason, keep up the good work. Even if you change your style or topic, you may lose some readers but you will attract new readers as well. It is important that you enjoy what you write about in order for the information to remain fresh, lively, interesting, and maybe even entertaining.

As authors, a large part of who we are is poured into our writings. If we are feeling uninspired, it will show; not just in the quality of our work, but in the size of our readership. If we are looking to get published, this is critical. A publisher will not renew your contract if you cannot generate a readership.

That said, the exact opposite is true. If we are excited about sharing our knowledge, the information will pour from our fingertips in an endless stream of wisdom for all to enjoy.

Have you ever been in a room with someone who tells a story in such as way that draws you in to hear every word? Is it because the story itself is great or because of the way the person is telling it? In person, the way it is told is probably the case. People are attracted to positive, upbeat people because they make us feel positive too.

On paper, it is quite another story. For this reason, you need to write in an exciting and interesting way. Achieving that goal would be a daunting task if you were bored with the story at hand. So be true to yourself so you can be true to your readers.

The Concept of Free Articles

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Free Articles, why would anybody want to deal with or in free articles. That is what I thought when I first saw the title then again I might not be the most up to date marketing person either. Free articles are usually submitted into an Article Directory and they have quite a few purposes.

Free articles can also be referred to as open content, as the term refers the content is available for copying and modifying some people frown about the idea of giving something away for free after you have worked so hard on it. Well the fact of the matter is there is plenty of free articles out there and varying reasons.

If we look at the Wikipedia concept that is a whole library of free articles ranging from countries and cities to animals and legal cases, it really has everything in it. That is thanks to the founder Jimmy Wales, who stated that the vision of Wikipedia was to allow each person to have access to the sum of all human knowledge, and that is exactly what they have done.

By creating a solid forum, with rules and regulations, they have taken all the free articles that people submit, or are submitting and it is collated correctly to formulate a fantastic knowledge database for anyone who has internet access to be able to gain from all this knowledge.

Would you still be raising an eyebrow about free articles, when your child is researching a school project on Wikipedia somehow I doubt it. This is an example of the power of free articles and why people do it.

The other reasons for free articles and content can be related to marketing purposes, where corporations and companies utilize the free articles and article directories as a linking mechanism to their sites, obviously to increase traffic and thereby increase turnover.

Yet the content is still free, it is a very smart tool to use in the generation of income via the power of the internet. I would even go so far as to say that the free articles for marketing purposes can add value to any individuals life, as that individual would not have taken up the call to action had they not really been in the market for the product, that the specific company manufactures or sells.

Other free articles could be posted by a writer, someone that just gets pure enjoyment out of writing and sharing their information with others, similar to the Wikipedia scenario.

These writers have day jobs, and perhaps are not good enough or believe that they are not good enough to be writers and therefore utilize the article directories as a medium of publishing their articles.

Not only has the internet revolutionized our behavior, and our way of thinking, but ancillary items related to the internet like free articles have added a lot of value and contributed to helping make our lives a little simpler, and a lot more knowledgeable.

Electronic Submission for the Article Writer

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

Shorthand pad in hand with the stubby little pencil, running from one headline story to the next; the picture of a journalist. That is how I always viewed them anyway, how things have changed through the times of internet, computers and word processing programs. Technology is brilliant, time saving and the question always comes up; what did we do without it? We somehow managed to cope.

Things have changed with the ability of electronic submission. Nowadays we write the article, paste it into an email and off it goes within a few seconds the editor has the mail in front of them and they almost ready to print it.

Electronic submission of your article or articles is not only a time saving concept, but consider all the trees you are saving without using all that paper for your notes, draft, second draft and final submission.

One has to take into the account that processes like electronic submission have contributed to our way of life in these current times. Has it contributed on a positive basis or has it just increased the pace at which we are expected to submit articles or complete our work. I believe it has had more of a complementary role than anything else, it has freed up so much more time and less effort is required for the electronic submission of completed work than a physical written article.

I say this because how many times have you sat down and started writing an article and thrown the pad down because it just does not make sense. So you restart on the next page, maybe after taking a walk around the office or house to get the creative juices flowing again. You start your article again and you are stumped; I know this happens because it has happened to me on numerous occasions.

Even after you have completed your draft and then finally got the finished product ready for submission, you would then have had to pop it into an envelope and drive off to the post office or whichever you use for your mail distribution and send it off manually. This is where the tricky part can also come in, what happens if the article or the submission goes missing in the mail process; this has also happened before. With electronic submission it is almost impossible to lose something in the mail.

With electronic submission, as well as the use of the technology we have at our disposal. We merely type up the article in a word processing software package, check for errors relating to spelling and grammar, double check that it reads well and conveys the thoughts and messages we are intending to convey, and then send it.

Electronic submission can be via email, file transfers over instant messaging programs or via the user interface of your selected article directory. By embracing the positive aspects that technology has to offer, like electronic submission of your work, will increase your productivity whilst reducing potential problems.

Electronic submission of your articles, works in your favor, whilst utilizing the technology to your benefit and saving you time, money and frustration.

If Electronic Submission has always been intriguing to you, go ahead get started, look for an article submissions site, submit your article. http://www.talkinmince.com today

Make It or Break It with Headlines

Friday, October 17th, 2008

Anyone who has experienced trying to read the front page of a daily paper that measures 13 by 22 inches knows how headlines wrestle for a reader’s attention. Although the page layout has a lot to do with which piece is read first, the way a headline is worded can also make or break a story. Let’s put it this way: a so-so story with an extremely catchy headline might prove to be disappointing, but it will still be read. The same story with a humdrum headline will be dismissed in a split-second.

While writing headlines for journalistic articles and for web copies are different in terms of their target audience, the principles under which they work are basically the same: to capture the essence of a piece and, hopefully, catch attention.

The need for brilliant headlines
In a nutshell, a headline can determine whether a user will click through to a copy or not. Writers for an online audience always have this in mind. The possible downside of this thinking is sacrificing accuracy. Some opt to misguide intentionally just to get hits. Remember that clicks alone will not translate to business automatically. Hence, it’s not worth trying to misguide prospective customers through deceptive headlines.

A headline, in journalism parlance, is the gist of the gist of a story. When writing copy for the web, this can be overly simplistic. There are more things to consider than just condensing a piece into several words. For instance, remember to be creative and inspired when thinking of your headlines. The World Wide Web is astronomically bigger than any single newspaper. And even with the help of a search engine to narrow down results, the webpages and headlines competing for a user’s attention is unimaginably voluminous. This is where a good headline edges out a mediocre one.

The writing itself
When writing headlines, it is best to strike a balance between accuracy and creativity. The first part means saying what you want to say, no complication, no catch. Trying to impress via headlines is not only needless and arrogant, it can also backfire in the long run. Thinking about it, writing for the sake of trying to impress often works to one’s disadvantage.

After figuring out what you need to say, figure out the most effective, creative, catchy, clever way of saying it. While you tirelessly try to excite and reel people in through your headlines, remember that your headline is the bait, and your copy is the fishing rod that reels people in.

As with writing for journalism, headlines of web copies vary depending on the purpose they will serve. The tone of your headline usually sets the mood for the rest of the article. Reserve funny headlines for comic pieces, satirical ones for parodies, academic ones for research papers. You get the picture.

Freelance Writers & Gamblers: How the Two are Too Often Alike

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

On my last vacation (long overdue) to Las Vegas, I noticed that there were a lot of similarities between the gamblers in the casino and many freelance writers I knew. Many frustrated gamblers would spend their money, time, and effort hammering away at the newest machines, trying out the newest strategy or the newest hot game.

They do this hoping to hit the jackpot and become rich. When they don’t, they leave frustrated and work to earn just enough money to come back and try again.

Many beginning freelance writers have similar misguided ideas about writing for a living, and the same can even be said about creative writers, as well. If I just sell that one book I can quit my day job . . . or if I take that one big trip “National Geographic” won’t be able to say no to my travel articles . . . I just need that one lucky break.

Sound familiar? Most of us have been there at one time or another, but what beginning writers need to realize is that writing is hard. The thing is, it’s never about the jackpot or the lucky break.

The way you get rich in Las Vegas is to notice that the cocktail waitress is making $50 or more an hour in tips. The hard work, training, and persistence is what makes her far more likely to become rich than the people gambling. The same is true making a living as a writer.

Yeah, once in a while a writer gets lucky and hits it big early, but far more often the way to make a living as a writer is through hard work, dedication, and taking the time to pay your dues, learn the ropes, and to be too stubborn to quit.

That’s the key to becoming a successful writer. Hard work, persistence, constant learning, and a lot of writing: not a “lucky” break. Freelance writers who write and are persistent are the ones who learn all the nuances needed to succeed as a freelance writer.

In the writing world “lucky breaks” almost always happen to the writers who have learned how the job works, and know how to put themselves in a position to succeed.

But don’t expect an immediate and lucky big break. If you put everything you have into a big break, you’re going to be disappointed. Get your name out there, find work and do a great job, get paid, build a sterling reputation, and repeat. Do this enough times and the pay raises and high paying jobs that seem like manna from heaven will come.

If you’re a first time freelance writer learning the ropes, don’t be a frustrated gambler at the slot machines. Be smart, work hard, and persist. When your reputation grows as a top notch freelance writer the jobs, money, and payment per hour avalanches in your favor.

It’s really amazing when it happens for the first time, and you’ll know you’re making it when you’re turning down work left and right that you would have killed for in your first month or two as a writer.

So keep writing, and forget good luck, persevere!

And if you would like to learn more about how gamblers and writers are alike, feel free to visit my webpage that help beginning freelance writers.

Thanks for reading.

How To Write The Perfect Article In Three Easy Steps

Friday, October 10th, 2008

Writing articles for the internet is simple. The reason so many people use sites like article marketer to publish their works is also just as simple. With every article you publish, the author section can include links to your site and therefore is a great way of building backlinks.

Backlinks are important to a site as they provide ways for people to access your site, as well as showing the search engines that your site is relevant and current. So, if articles are that important, why aren’t people writing enough of them?

Writing is a skill that not everyone has in their locker. I am a great writer and therefore articles are like second nature to me. When I get writing, I can knock up some quality articles in a quick succession. The only way I can do this is by following the Three Step Article Recipe, or TSAR for short.

TSAR relies on three easy steps to producing a great article that people will want to read for many years to come. All those young, enthusiastic writers out there should take a look at the TSAR to immediately improve the quality and quantity of their articles.

Step One - Pick a subject that interests you, or one of which you already have knowledge. Readers will be able to tell if you really care what you are writing, or if you have just copied words and phrases that you don’t understand. When you write about something personal, the words will flow and your article will be fluent and readable.

Even if you are writing about something that isn’t the most interesting to you personally, make it interesting. Your tone will translate into the copy, so if you have chosen, or been given, a subject then become the subject and let it envelope you so the copy is indulgent, delicious and satisfying. Yummy yummy in my tummy. The first step in your three step recipe is complete. Preparation complete, time to cook.

Step Two - Do your homework. Ignorance is not bliss when it comes to writing articles. If people are taking the time to read your article, make sure the information is relevant, up-to-date and most importantly factually correct. Getting names, dates or figures wrong may be forgiven in conversation with friends but in articles it is the ultimate no-no.

The internet offers so much information that to get things wrong now is unforgiveable. Don’t trust everything you read though, especially on subjects with which you may be unfamiliar. For example, people’s names may be the same but it doesn’t mean they are brothers - double check everything as it’s your name that will appear in the author box. Cooking is complete, now for the garnish.

Step Three - So, you have chosen your subject, written a thoroughly persuasive and convincing article and now you want to serve it. It’s not ready. There needs some finishing touches to achieve the highest quality of article. And here comes the secret to my success and article master grade 8.

Attention to detail is the key. Ensure all spelling and grammar are correct as this will give your article credibility and won’t provoke derogatory remarks from educated folk. Double-check everything.

Article Done. Sit back and enjoy the sweet taste of success.

The Value Of Knowing How To Write

Thursday, October 9th, 2008
by James Collett

Copywriting is a job where the aim is to create a bespoke item that sponsors a particular thought, point of view or operation. Excellent copywriting will aim to explain to the audience the excellence of the merchandise or opinion and why it is best for them. Examples of where business writing is used and how to write are for television ads, newsletters, world wide web blogs, billboards and any written material used in promotional media.

Someone who knows how to write works together with an art director to produce a multimedia piece that uses words, colours and imagery to promote the goods and promote to the reader. The copywriter has accountability for how to write the written gist of the piece and the art director has accountability for the visual content of the piece, as well as guiding the finished work itself. The greatest material is produced when the business writing and art groups join forces and work in harmony.

Copywriting is an integral aspect of the advertising world as it is accountable for the sayings that stay with us, telling us why an issue is necessary to hear, why a product would be important to us. Business writing is accountable for the content and, in this way, is similar to a technical writer although a copywriter strives to promote goods or ideas and not merely to instruct the reader of it.

With the coming of the internet, new opportunities have occurred for writers as they strive to endorse webpages, new products, new services and new thoughts through the internet. The internet has also made it simpler for writers to find and get in contact with businesses that require their skills and to earn a wage from freelance copywriting. There are many websites that are now concerned with keeping in touch business writers with corporations who need to know how to write.

The net has also meant that writers have been required to learn new abilities, such as SEO. SEO allows for a business writer to ensure that their goods can be found effectively through the web. Using how to write strategies such as strategic word placement and the repetition of certain keywords helps the work to be ranked highly by a search engine, an necessary copywriting talent in today’s net-savvy world.

To be a brilliant copywriter, it is essential to have excellent communication skills and know how to write. All copywriters should have a have a excellent vocabulary and excellent word, spelling and grammar skills. It is also helpful to have some education in copywriting and there are many academies and businesses that specialize in educating you to be a copywriting professional. Many of these academies and businesses offer online courses and there are many guides that also offer help.

As a writer, you will find your work in demand across the globe and across thousands of industries. Not just with promotional agencies, copywriters are in demand for all companies that have goods, service or thought to promote. TV networks, radio shows, start-up businesses, e-companies, small companies, multinational businesses and everything in between have a want for the advertising of their company and their product. Many in the business writing business now work freelance for themselves and are hired on a contractual basis, allowing them to choose the jobs they work on and the businesses they work for, all at hours suitable to them.

Business writers are behind some of the most well-known promotional campaigns in the world. It was famous copywriter David Ogilvy that created the famous Dove soap slogan “only Dove is one-quarter moisturizing cream” and William Bernbach was a copywriter who came up with the “think small” ad campaign for Volkswagen Beetle, a campaign recognized as one of the top advertising campaigns of the 20th century. Therefore copywriting has the power to not only reach the readers but to create a lasting impression on the world through the excellence of their abilities.

About the Author:

How To Write An Article Series

Monday, October 6th, 2008

Writing an article series has many advantages for both the author and its readership. For the author, it provides an opportunity to focus on one subject matter that can be expanded upon, thus avoiding the need to continuously think of new topics.

It is important that adequate research is conducted beforehand so that numerous sub categories are presented in an orderly fashion that makes sense. The overall structure of your article series can be compared to book chapters or a movie mini-series. If done correctly, it will keep your readership interested and wanting more. In short, guaranteed visibility and distribution of your articles.

Like any good story, it needs to have a good beginning, middle and end. For this reason, it is imperative that you plan ahead so that when the series is completed, your readership will have an archive of information that they can refer to time and again. It will also save them from having to conduct a disjointed research campaign to find the information they are seeking on a given subject.

If they come upon your article series at any point before its conclusion, they will anticipate upcoming chapters. If they discover the resource after its completion, they will have the pleasure of reading its volumes at their leisure in a way that suits their interests and needs.

Ideally, they should be able to print the articles out and put them in a binder, complete with a table of contents and index. This is why conducting research in advance is especially important. If your readership sees what they can expect in upcoming chapters, they will be on alert for subsequent articles in the series.

In order to properly prepare for taking on such an ambitious writing project, you will be required to have a thorough knowledge about something in particular, such as fishing, music, health issues, etc. Many subjects are broad, such as the types of fishing, music and health issues.

Equally important, you must communicate to your readership that the article is one in a series of many. One way to do this is to choose a name for your series and chapters, and number each article in the series. If there is a table of contents, the reader will be able to identify when a chapter is finished and what they can expect with the next release or issue, sort of speak.

For this reason, it would be wise to decide early on if you will be writing about a niche topic or various topics under a certain category. That said, it would be prudent to chose a topic that lends itself to many sub categories so that your information is diversified, and you do not find yourself at a dead-end wondering what else to write about on a given subject.

Once your topic and sub topics have been decided, it is essential that you put together an outline to support the development of your table of contents and index. Then proceed to write articles on each chapter that can either be one article per chapter or sub category, or several articles for each; then move on to the next chapter. The possibilities are endless and can keep you busy for a long time.

For those who have always wanted to write a book or e-book, this is a great exercise. If done successfully, the materials that you produce can be converted to an e-book to sell online or as part of a profitable affiliate e-book program. It can also serve as a manuscript or book proposal for mainstream publishing.

Whether you limit you information to a series of articles or use it later for a book, you will gain valuable experience that will serve you well for future article series and establish you as a trusted author with a dedicated, growing readership.

However you choose to approach the process, whether completing the series and then releasing the articles over a period of time or publishing the articles as you go along, be sure to complete your series so you do not have an unfinished resource in circulation.

How To Increase Your Article’s Visibility

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

The purpose of an article is usually intended to provide information on a particular topic of interest to a select group of people. Unlike an a featured article in a magazine or best-selling novel, an article is typically researched by its readership. For that reason, it is important that an author understands where to have their article published in print or posted online to ensure its visibility.

If the readership is comprised of subscribers to a magazine, an author should contact the publisher to have their article reviewed for consideration in a special edition or to be kept on file for future issues. Magazines are generally theme based, such as a hobby, fashion, housekeeping and health. For this reason, an author should be careful to submit an article that would fit in with a particular subject.

It would be prudent on the part of the author to purchase back issues of the magazine beforehand to review previously published articles to see what the publisher tends to accept and to be sure not to submit an article that is too similar to one already published.

Posting an article online is very different because it is very easy for readers to find what they are looking for by conducting an online search using certain keywords. A good search engine will most likely generate hundreds, if not thousands, of search results on that topic. Still, it cannot hurt for the author to take the same steps when planning an effective article distribution campaign.

This would include researching niche sites on a particular subject and contacting the webmaster or site owner to learn if there is an interest in their articles. It is always a good idea for an author to attach a plain text file of one or more articles to expedite the publisher’s article review, decision-making, selection and posting process.

One advantage in targeting niche websites that are not article submission sites is that it is more personal. It is not uncommon for authors to be invited by site owners to be a regularly featured contributor or subject matter expert. Certainly, using a mix of article distribution and niche sites will ensure greater exposure and credibility.

Moreover, it is not unusual for a magazine to publish both a print and online version of their magazine. If an author were to have an article published, their article will reach an even broader readership comprised of individuals who read one or the other version of the magazine.

It’s hard to believe that many people do not use a computer, but it is a fact. So, having an article published in print will reach a segment of readers that would never see it if published online.

Regardless of the form of distribution, the main goal should always be to inform a reader who is looking for information, ideas and inspiration.

How To Generate Traffic By Syndicating Your Article

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Syndication is something that usually gets associated with humor columnists like Dave Barry and the late Erma Bombeck. Syndication is something that many writers used to aspire to, and now-thanks to the internet-it is something that anyone can do for any reason. Many website owners syndicate their writing as a method to drive traffic and sales to the products they are trying to sell. If you have been thinking of using syndication for your articles to drive traffic to your website, here are some tips:

1. Start a blog! A blog is a great way to let people know about your website, your company and the inner workings of both. When your company comes up with a new policy or product, you can write about it on the blog. If you decide to promote a product or have a sale, you can promote the event on your blog. What’s more, your blog is a great way to illustrate the personality of your company.

2. Have someone submit your website’s content to sites like Digg and Stumble Upon to increase traffic to the content you most want people to read. The more you get submitted to these social syndication sites, the more traffic you will gain and the more sales you will make!

3. Make sure your content is unique. The search engines will penalize a site if its content turns up on multiple websites, so if you want to syndicate something, make sure that the excerpt points to your site where the entire article can be read. Simply publishing the exact same text on multiple sites won’t help you. In fact, it will hurt you!

4. Your content and articles must be well written. If you want to generate traffic by syndicating your articles, you must make sure that they are readable and entertaining. If you don’t have confidence in your writing skills, hire someone to write your syndication content for you. If the content is poorly written, nobody will click through to your site or buy your products.

Article syndication is a great way to generate traffic for your website and drive potential buyers to the products that you are selling. Freelance Writers - Three Key Factors for Online Writing Success

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

There are now millions of websites online. Most of them don’t last long. They are put up in the hope of capturing leads or sales or distributing information, but the problem with most websites is that they are not built around fundamental business principles and practices. Those that do stay around for longer are generally run by professional businesses and managed by webmasters who utilise online writing with keen interest in the quality of their business and website content.

On the internet two things determine the success of most enterprises. The first is traffic. Without visitors a website is simply pointless. The second is content or online writing. This is where you - the freelance writer- come in.

As a freelance writer involved in online writing there are three key factors that influence your success.

First, and most obviously, your online writing abilities are crucial. Webmasters are honestly crying out for freelance writers who have the ability to write with flair and creativity and who know how to research a topic thoroughly. It’s a sad fact that most online freelance writers are very amateur. The fact that your article appears on a website and not in a glossy magazine in no way diminishes the fact that the article must be of the highest quality. There are just too many online freelance writers who just dive into a subject without much thought and preparation.

Your abilities as an online freelance writer must demonstrate that you can get to the heart of a topic and express your research and opinion in a manner that will demand reader attention. As an online freelance writer there is nothing more important. The longer that a reader spends on a website the more chance there is for a webmaster to build a relationship with the reader and convert them into a lead or sale. We all know how easy it is to click away from a website and once that happens a potential customer may never return!

Second, as an online freelance writer, you absolutely must write unique and original work. Webmasters are striving to get maximum exposure for their content and to a large extent their exposure is determined by the rank that their sites receive from the search engines. Google, Yahoo and MSN are very, very smart. They can spot duplicate online writing quickly and they are not shy in penalising webmasters for falling into this kind of error.

Third, and also related integrally to online writing’s unique platform, you must be aware that your online writing needs to reflect adequate keyword density. This is perhaps the biggest difference between online writing and offline. Again, this comes back to the search engines. Millions of people are searching for information on the internet at any given time and the words that they enter into the search engines determine the pages that the search engines display.

In most cases webmasters will specify the keywords they are targeting for a particular article, so keyword research isn’t a large component of online writing. However, creating the right keyword density in an article is paramount.

Succeeding at online writing isn’t hard, but it takes dedication to improving and showcasing your online writing ability. Also, as an online freelance writer your commitment to unique and original work and your skill with creating keyword density are essential to your success.

Traffic Building Using Article Marketing Requires The Correct Internet Components

Sunday, September 14th, 2008

Have you thought about and devised all the ways you can drive traffic to your business to build your list? Have you thought about a traffic building framework that gives you an overall picture that you could then pick and choose the most appropriate traffic building strategy from?

Many of us have because the possibilities are endless, when you think about it. However when using one strategy, article marketing, you need to know your target market, your niche in that target market and how to do keyword research.

Target Marketing - The first step before building traffic with article writing is defining your target market. A target market is a specific group of consumers at which a company aims its products and services. Your target customers are those who are most likely to buy from you. Then you must target a niche within that market.

Niche Market - According to Wikipedia, a shortened definition is that a niche is how an organism makes a living. The ecological niche describes how an organism or population responds to the competitors (e. g., by growing when resources are abundant, and predators, parasites and pathogens are scarce).

By definition, then, a business that focuses on a niche market is addressing a need for a product or service that is not being addressed by mainstream providers. A niche market may be thought of as a narrowly defined group of potential customers. To be specific a niche market is a focused targetable portion or (subset) of a market sector.

Keyword Research - Once you know your niche or subset the next step to developing your article and getting your set of targeted customers is to perform keyword research.

This is a crucial step because keyword research is a vitally important aspect of your search article marketing campaign. Crucial step because customers search using keywords or keyword phrases. If your site is targeting the wrong keywords, your customer will not find your articles.

To get the customer usable keywords, you need a good keyword tool to get the proper keywords. When you select the appropriate keywords, this means you will have the correct words and phrases that customers actually use to include in the text of your articles.

Article Development - It is at this point with the target market, the proper niche of that target market along with the correct set of keywords that you start developing your article.

There are a number of article development methods that we discuss next and you need to select one that works best for the way you think and work. When the prospective customer searches for a product or service, having the proper structure and internet components your potential customers will find your article.

Article Topics That Grab A Reader’s Attention

Friday, August 29th, 2008

One of the hottest topics on the Internet, print and in digital format is how-to because many people are looking to learn a subject or do-it-yourself project.

There is a variation of keywords that can be used to further support this approach, such as quick, easy, affordable, instant, etc. Many of it is hype while, depending on the quality of the information, can prove extremely valuable to a person seeking that information.

If you choose to use how-to in your article topic, be sure to have an article that is instructional. It is best if the format is broken down into steps so the reader can follow along and know where they are and left off in the tutorial.

In addition to including a methodical approach, it is helpful to include examples if possible. If it is in print, this could include drawings if the lesson is about a product, or text if the lesson is on writing.

If it is an article, it might be useful to the reader if sources were provided so they can conduct further research to learn even more about the subject. This is especially important in adding value to the article because now it is both a great how-to guide and resource in an of itself.

If your how-to is on a website, you can take your how-to tutorial to the next level by including how-to videos to illustrate the instructional information. This in a highly effective approach to teaching because different people have unique learning styles. The two most popular include visual and audio. That said, another great way to convey how-to do something is with podcasts.

Between using the a step-by-step approach, the written word with illustrations, videos and podcasts, you will certainly cover the various methods of teaching your learners.

So before you decide to put the words how-to in your article topic, be sure you really teach the readers something of value, as that is the main reason why they were drawn to your article or website in the first place. It is up to you whether or not you want to charge for this information. If you are not, be sure to give the readers something of value so they do not click away.

Giving free information away will comeback tenfold in the long run because people will want to share that information extensively. If it is really good, it could actually be the start of a viral marketing campaign for you.

Submit An Article With Both Quality and Quantity

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

Thousands of article site moderators are tasked with reviewing and both approving and disapproving hundreds of articles a day. Too often there are short articles submitted by authors who submit several articles on the same topic at the same time with little value.

The titles and content of the articles are often nearly identical. It is obvious that these authors are not looking to share their expertise. On the contrary, they are clearly taking advantage of article submission sites as a great marketing tool.

These authors are in such a hurry to knock out articles that they move the paragraphs around, tweak some of the wording and rename the title. Sure, it will get the job done if the article site moderators accept their articles. But what happens after that point?

Will visitors to that article be inclined to reprint these articles on their own websites as an authoritative resource? If not, isn’t that defeating the whole purpose of gaining visibility and expanding the distribution for those articles?

The Internet is a highly saturated medium. It is so easy to find information on almost any topic with a few short keystrokes. The problem nowadays is not finding what you are looking for. Rather, the problem is weeding through the enormous amount of information on a given topic to determine what is really good. If your information is substandard, the visitor will click away from it before they can say Google.

If you fail to effectively market your articles, you will wonder why your website is still on page 30 and why your site is not responding to a search using your main keywords. By sending out thousands of vague articles, you will be spending even time more in the long run by taking short cuts.

The old adage that haste makes waste truly applies in this case. Taking the extra time to write quality content that is not a run on of vague information will pay in the long run. Take the time to understand your audience and pick a topic that truly answers a need or solves a problem.

If you take the necessary time to produce quality content, it will pay off ten fold in a shorter period of time. If you are active in your pursuit, your name will gain recognition along with respect by those whom you have shared your information and helped them to realize what they are doing wrong and how to correct it.

I hope these insights will inspire you to think twice before knocking out a quick article that will most likely take up valuable cyberspace and get limited attention by both publishers and search engines.

8 Mini Article Writing Templates to Drive Your Articles the Extra Mile

Monday, August 25th, 2008

Your audience is hungry for information. But they want it in the right format. The format must be easy to read, easy to digest and easy to apply. If you deliver your articles the way your audience likes it, they will reward you by reading every article you publish.
They will even visit your website, sign-up for your ezine and eventually visit your product page just to receive more of your helpful information.

By writing short articles you can capture attention, gain more traffic, create more sales and most importantly, be helpful to people when they need it. Here are seven quick tips to help you format your articles and make them go the extra mile:

1. Question/Answer.

This is a popular format for everyone wants their questions answered in a 123 fashion. If only all questions could be answered in a numbered method. Discover your audience’s burning questions that you have the answers for. List the questions; write a short paragraph that answers each question. Write a short introduction and even shorter summary. There you have it. An easy to read and easy to digest short article answering your audience’s most pressing questions.

2. Problem/Solution.

I absolutely love this format. I myself have gotten tons of problems solved with this format, after reading someone’s problem/solution article. Therefore, many of my business problems that I solve become guess what kind of article? Yes. You are right; they become problem/solution articles. Simply describe the problem in one short paragraph and offer the solution in a one sentence paragraph below it. Or vice versa, describe the problem in a one sentence paragraph and give the solution in the longer paragraph.

3. Myth/Truth.

The myth/truth format is another format that I use often in my writing. I guess because there are plenty of myths to destroy in any field. No, really I don’t see it used as much as the other formats. So it becomes one of my attempts to be different. Also, you can easily convert other formats of yours or your favorite writer. For example, if you are inspired by another writer’s topic instead of plagiarizing their work simply turn their list of mistakes into secrets or solutions. Simply present the facts in your own voice and viewpoint.

4. Tips/Advice.

I think you know by now. I love writing short articles that help people. I mention that because I felt myself wanting to write, the same words at the beginning of this tip. You know, “I love the tip format.” This article is a great example of the tips format. I listed eight tips and short advice on how to accomplish the tip. So, list out your tips and write a short paragraph of advice to explain the tip.

Every one loves bite-sized, useful information. Why not join the Information Revolution, by writing short articles to promote your ezine, website, product or service. Your readers will enjoy receiving your expertise. They will make sure your articles go the extra mile by telling all their friends about your informative, helpful service.

5. Top Ten List.

A variation of the tips format is the top tips list. Your top tips list may consist of the Top Five, Top Ten, Top Seven or practically any number of ten or less. I have even written the single most important tip to help my audience focus. Sometimes, that one gets more attention than the other numbers, because it answers a desire in all of us that want it as easy as possible. It’s great if I can achieve it in a single step or even the 2 most important ways sound better than three or seven.

6. How To.

Just as we all want to achieve anything in the easiest way possible, we also like to be shown how to do anything and everything. My clients have often said to me, “Just give me 5 easy steps or 3 easy steps and I know I can do it.” I’m the same way, aren’t you? Format your article to teach something and offer easy steps to accomplish it. Again, list them and write a short paragraph explaining each step.

7. Ways/Secrets/Habits.

Another variation of the How-to article can be written in ways, secrets, habits, or things. I have even formatted one of my articles into weapons called “7 Weapons to Conquer the Giant Procrastination.” The weapons became how-to tools to overcome procrastination keeping you from writing your best book now.

8. Reasons.

Most people can understand any given topic better if they can know the whys or reasons that support it. Websites are becoming more and more popular across the globe. As a website developer, I wanted to help my clients understand strong reasons for them to get a website now. Yes. The article became, “10 Reasons You Need a Website.” Think of something you want to convince your clients of and write an article doing so. For a software developer wanting to sell more of his ebook creation software, his article became “18 Reasons to Write an eBook and Give it Away Free.”

The Benefits of Using free Articles - Writing

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

When you have a website from which you want to earn an income, it is important to have informative articles that visitors can read. The information you present can lead them to clicking on any links to affiliate sites you may have or on the ads that help you earn money. It is costly to pay a writer to write the articles for you, especially if you plan to have an extensive site. However, there are ways of getting free articles that you can post on your site without violating nay copyright laws.

You should start searching online for sites that have articles that are free for you to use. One of these is Article City. This site has a huge index of articles on numerous topics. All you have to do is browse the menu on the right to find the category for which you need articles and contents that you can add to your site. It just takes a few clicks with copy and paste and you have a new page added.

On eth sites you find offering articles that you are free to use, you will also see Google ads offering the same thing. One of these ads you may notice is from ArticleDepot. This site offers a great selection of articles on just about any topic you can think of.

At the same time, if you are and want to drive more traffic to your website, you can submit articles you write to a free directory. There are many of these to choose from and you don’t have to pay a fee to become a member. These include the two websites mentioned above as well as many others. The more articles you submit to these free directories the more traffic you can generate to your website and this translates into higher earnings. With each new article you submit, you do a little promotion of your self and your site at the bottom leading visitors to visit your site.

These directories rate quite high in search engine results which gives you more visibility even if your website doesn’t rank very high. Readers of your article make a connection between you and the topic of your article. If you have several articles on the same topic on the same directory, you may even be regarded as an expert in that field.

You don’t have to stick to submitting articles to the same directory. When you submit to several of them you multiply your exposure. You should be aware that you cannot publish the same article on several sites. The team in charge of approving the articles will check to make sure that it is not duplicate material and may even disallow you from the site if you do this. You also have to make sure the articles you write are original and not copied from other places. This is plagiarism and is illegal. You can get ideas from other sites and rephrase thenm in your own words, but you are not allowed to copy and paste.

One of the best places to get free articles is the free article directory http://www.ArticleCircle.com This site offers free online articles on lots of different topics.

Do These Issues Prevent You From Writing Articles?

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

As an aspiring article writer there are several roadblocks you need to get past. Most article writers have banged their heads into these exact same obstacles. The truth is that most of them are really easy to get past.

1. My Writing Is really Bad
“I don’t write very well.” Is a very commonly used excuse. Frankly everybody feels like that now and then, but it’s just not true. You’re supposed to write an article not Hamlet or Romeo and Juliet.

Another common excuse is bad spelling. Well, that’s a really bad excuse. Pretty much any word processing tool on the planet has a build in spellchecker. Running your article through that should take care of most spelling errors. Even if you think your spelling is great you should still run your article through a spellchecker. Typos are more common than you think.

Right after spelling people will often mention grammar. Would you believe, in this day and age there are even tools that can help with that. If you don’t want to spend money on that have one or two friends or relatives look through your article. They will most likely be able to notice things that seem off.

2. I Don’t Have Anything New To Offer
Well, even if you’re absolutely certain that people know everything you have to say about a subject; tell it again. Tell them in your words. First of all I can assure you that there will be things they didn’t know. Second of all it never hurts to be told the same thing twice, but in different ways.

So even if you think you have nothing new to add to a subject you should still give it a go. More often than not there will be details here and there that someone else did not know.

3. I Don’t Know Enough About The Subject
Well, that might actually be a good thing. Writing about something you don’t know anything about means that you have to do some research. That will usually bring a sense of exploration to your article. In fact by simply looking at a topic with a fresh set of eyes you may notice things that nobody else thought about. Lack of knowledge should definitely not hold you back.

So you’re writing about a brand new subject, which means that you now have to do a bit of research. If you’re thinking that you have to spend hours at the library you’re wrong. Going to the library can’t hurt, but most of the knowledge you need is right at your fingertips. Make use of search engines and other tools to research your topic.

4. I Don’t Know What To Write About
Well, writing articles about a hobby or your business is an excellent to get started. That may span several potential subjects which can ironically make it even harder to determine the subject of a specific article. It’s a common error to think about something and then decide that it doesn’t warrant an article. More often than not it does.

If you’re looking for more inspiration than that you just take a look at the magazine rack at your store. In fact bookstores can also be excellent sources of inspiration. If something sells really well there’s a good chance that it’s a good topic to wrtie articles about.

5. Nobody Wants To Read What I Write
Yes they do. Really I don’t have to say more than that, but I’m going to anyway. In the world we live in today website owners are hungry for fresh material and will happily put your article on their website. Most article directories allow site owners to use the content as long as they credit the author. That’s an excellent way to plug your website and yourself.

Really, there are no excuses so get on with it and get writing.

Article Writing For Your Website

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

As a website owner there are plenty of good reasons for writing an article. One reason could be to get more content for your website. Another reason could be to submit it to article directories to get more traffic to your website. No matter what though there is one thing you will need to learn, and that is how to write articles. That’s what this…well, you guessed it, article is about.

When you have decided that you need or preferably want to write an article you have taken a very important step. However, A lot of people don’t get past the next hurdle. The next hurdle is simply put, what do I put in it? In other words what do I write an article about. Well if you’re running a website or a business the answer should be right there. Although non-writers like us have a tendency to think that “my topic will probably not warrant an article”. You need to get past that. Why wouldn’t your topic warrant an article? If you think it’s interesting there are bound to be others out there who feel the same way.

Researching articles can be a bit of a hassle. If you’re just starting out and you’re writing about a topic you know a lot about you can skip this step. However eventually you’ll want to write about something you don’t know that much about. Then you need to do a bit of research. I’m not talking about weeks of research here, but spending an hour or two learning about your chosen topic is definitely a good idea.

In this day an age there is software on the market that allows you to research a topic within a few minutes. A good google search is also a good way to get started. Your first article on a new topic doesn’t have to be very long. In fact if you pick one of the popular article types I’ll tell you about in a minute you will only need a few paragraphs of research material. Make sure you rewrite all the material you gather though. I don’t want to be encouraging plagiarism in any way.

When you get started you want to stick to one of the popular article types that I’ll tell you about shortly. In fact even as you get more experienced you’ll probably want to stick to them anyway. Anyway let’s get to it.

1. Top Ten Lists
Everybody loves a good top ten list. You get good information fast and as an added advantage they are easy to write. Top ten lists are among the most popular types of articles to write and very good starters if you’re still in the process of learning how to write articles.

2. Tips
These are very short articles. They usually follow the formula of stating a problem and providing the answer. These types of articles are usually around 4-600 words.

3. How To’s
Well actually this is a how to article. People are always eager to learn new things and how to articles come with that promise. These would typically be a bit longer than the Tips articles. try sticking to around 750 words and no longer than a thousand words.

4. Assessment
Is your computer infected by virus, Does your garden need fertilizer, etc. could be titles of assessment articles. They usually involve some kind of checklist the reader can go through. Quite often people will print these articles and go through the list. Not only do they offer excellent information for the reader, but they will also help the reader solve a problem or determine if he or she has a problem.

That was four of the most popular article types on the internet. In random order by the way.

Now you’ve decided what type of article you want to write and what the overall topic should be. Now it’s time to actually start writing the article, well, not quite yet. First I suggest you write down 10 subheadings on a blank piece of paper along with the main title of your article. These headings will form the content of your article once you get started.

Put the 10 headings into your text editor and start writing. You’ll need 3-4 sentences for each of them. Don’t stop to think about what you’re writing. This is the time to let your mind flow. Pour out your knowledge about your subheading.

After going through all 10 subheadings it’s time to edit your article. Yes, that’s right! you have now written your first article! Now you need to run it through a spellchecker. You’ll need to read it through to make sure what you’ve written makes sense, but when that’s done you’re ready to publish your article in any way you see fit.

At the beginning of this article I told you that you would have to learn how to write articles. If you’ve read all the way through it you should have and you should be proud of yourself.

Using Free Online Articles to Your Advantage

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

You won’t believe the exposure you can get as a writer and as the owner of a website until you submit free online articles to an article directory. Not only are these articles free for other publishers to use, it doesn’t cost you anything to register and start submitting articles. This is one method that publishers use to generate traffic to their sites, many of which translate into sales.

In order to keep a visitor when he/she clicks onto your website, you need to have valuable information related to the product or service you are offering. This could be something you are selling directly from your website or you could be an affiliate marketing driving customers to another site where they will make a purchase of which you get a percentage. Although you have articles on your site, you can write different articles and submit them to a free directory. The articles must be original and not published elsewhere, which means they cannot be duplicates of the content you have already published online. In the author bio section you include something about yourself and a link back to your website. These directories then submit your article to search engines and make them available to publishers.

You are not losing out by writing free articles for directories. In order for publishers to use your material, they must include a link back to the directory and the article will still have your name as the author. Now your exposure has increased yet again.

Free articles are a great way for a publisher that doesn’t have the inclination or time to write articles for his/her site. This person can browse the categories listed on the directory and then the articles within that category to find an article that suits he/her needs. The directory provides a link for the publisher to obtain both the plain and HTML text needed to place the article on the website. Then when visitors click on this page they will see the authors name and the link back to the directory from which they can visit your website. This is a win-win situation for everyone.

There are also free article directories where you can earn money from the articles you write. When you submit an article, you earn a percentage of the advertising revenue that the site earns from visitors reading your articles. This may only be a small amount per month, but the more articles you submit, the more money you make.

You can submit articles about the same product to multiple directors, but the content has to be different each time. You can also submit numerous articles to the same directory. Every article gives you exposure, so the more you write the more of an expert you will become in that field. The directories do specify that they have the right to remove any articles at any time and they may switch them to a different category than you specify if they feel that you material is better suited elsewhere.

One of the best places to get free articles is the free article directory http://www.ArticleCircle.com This site offers free online articles on lots of different topics.

The Benefits of a Free Article Directory

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

Anyone who has a website for fun or profit can benefit from using a free article directory. This is a site where you can submit articles for free. You do have to register and become a member, but it doesn’t cost you anything to do so. Since the articles are free, webmasters can also avail of them to find free content for their websites. The only stipulation in using these articles is that you must retain the code that says the article is from the specific site you use. You cannot pass it off as your own work.

First let’s look at the benefit of using such a site for writers their own websites. When you write an article and submit it to a directory, you get instant exposure because this site submits its articles to all the search engines. Therefore, you don’t have to use up any of your writing time on this chore. However there are guidelines to which you must adhere before you can submit an article. The main guideline is that your article is original. The directory will search the Internet to make sure it hasn’t been published elsewhere and that you haven’t copied any of the information from another article. You must also include an Author Bio, which will give you and your website exposure because you can include a link to your website in this area. By submitting to a directory you also give publishers and webmasters permission to use your material.

Publishers and webmasters can use these free articles as content for their own sites. They also have to meet certain requirements in return for getting free material for their sites. They must agree to add a link back to the directory stating that this is where they obtained the articles. The author’s name has to be retained and publishers cannot pass the work off as their own. They must also notify the author as to where and how the article will be used.

All of the directories have a list of categories so you don’t have to browse every single article to find suitable material. When you find an article that suits your purposes, there will usually be a link at the top for Publish This Article and this will generate the plain text and HTML version of the article.

When submitting articles to a free directory, you have to be mindful of the material. Some directories will not permit the use of any profane language in the article or any material that is deemed to be racial in any way. Once you do submit the article, you have to wait for approval before it will go live online. There may be guidelines about how often you can use a specific keyword. You also have to include the keywords that will be used as metatags in the article.

If you are selling a specific product or want to promote the products of an affiliate, you can submit an article to several directories to increase your exposure. All the articles can be about the same topic, but they must use different wording so they do not appear as being the same article.

One of the best places to get free articles is the free article directory http://www.ArticleCircle.com This site offers free online articles on lots of different topics.

Short vs Long Articles For Marketing

Monday, July 7th, 2008

There has been a persistent squabble over whether one should use short or long articles online. In article marketing, the squabble continues with strong support for each position. Short articles are generally considered to between 400 words to 500 words and in some cases as little as 250 words. Long articles are more than 750 words.

Proponents of short articles claim that attention spans online are quite short and an internet surfer will not pay much attention to long articles. They point to the well known fact of skimming or page scanning as proof. Surfers generally land on a page and tend to scan the page by scrolling; running their eyes on the page from top to bottom without really reading.

The long articles proponents on the other hand point to the inability to communicate much more than introductory information in such short articles. And except for FYI (For Your Information), tips and opinion articles, short articles are shallow and not considered of high value.

So should you use long or short articles for your article marketing? Considering article marketing targets webmasters to pick up your articles for their own websites, the author is inclined more towards long articles; and for good reasons. As a webmaster, to pick any article for reprint it would require the article to be insightful and particularly unique in perspective. Such content often will require the accompaniment of the more general information to create the foundation for the more insightful information. Just this setting up of the content could as well use 250 words.

In addition it is rare that a webmaster would pick FYI or a tip articles. Reasons being, they have no where to publish them. Unless they particularly have a frequent tips ezine or a tips page, the webmaster would prefer several tips in one page which would make along article. Unlike off-line publishing, websites usually do not have spaces for filler content. Fillers are short articles that are used to fill up space in newspapers and magazines.

FYI articles on the other hand are generally regurgitated content and often the webmaster will not consider them of great value unless of course it news. As for well presented opinions, they tend to be long due to reasons detailed above concerning setting up the content.

But again, this column is never more than 450 words. And as much as it more of introductory and FYI/Tips kind of column, it is insightful for those new to internet business (newbies). All in all you articles should be as long as they need to be but always of great value.

The Right Use Of Articles

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

There are many tools to drive visitors to your website but the main one that should be employed is the use of articles. Article exchange has also become a popular way for people to get fresh content for their sites and as a method to promote them. The desires of internet users are very demanding and search engines are eager to please them with new unique articles on the subjects searched for. It’s no secret that search engines look upon the internet as a source of written material just as people that use the internet consider it to be a huge, free database. When you view the internet from the perspective of the search engine and it is wise to do so, then when an article is rewritten it automatically becomes unique.

Ultimately though, fresh articles are a good way forward if you enjoy writing but there are some ground rules worth remembering. Once you have determined a topic to write on you need to do some research and this is easily done online by entering a search phrase for your topic into your favorite search engine. Setting the article out correctly is paramount otherwise it will not flow so you will need the subject introduction which may highlight a particular problem, then a middle section explaining the subject more, finishing with a conclusion. The conclusion is a winding up of all the information you have just written and doesn’t need to be more than about four to five sentences with most pieces of work approximately twenty to twenty five sentences long. They are easier to read if they are split into paragraphs, normally about five and don’t forget to place a resource box at the end with your name and brief details including any links to sites you may have.

Making money online isn’t just about writing articles for your self to promote your own website or business because you could even be asked to write articles for other people’s websites, blogs etc. Would you like to know one of the little known secrets to good article writing? The easiest way to start is to write about something you already know because we all have special knowledge gained from our experience in life which we could pass on to others through an article or series of articles. Once you have exhausted that why not try a niche market one where you could write a series all based around a similar subject.

Good article writing techniques often win the day because many articles are saved primarily owing to the way they have been written and not because of the subject matter. By writing a piece every day to get the feel of writing and learn to identify the common problems faced by every other writer will improve your style very quickly. This method works well and that’s the reason why I believe you should remember that the more writing you do, the more effortless and productive it will become. I cannot guarantee that this information will suit everyone but they are a set of guidelines to help you see that there is more to think about and involved if you intend to be a professional article writer.

How to Work From Home Using Your Computer

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

Many parents, especially mothers who already stay at home, consider the idea of working from home. Current gasoline prices are an added incentive for a parent not to leave the house. There are many choices for work at home positions including copy writing, data entry, and medical billing. These jobs can be adapted to the worker who chooses to set up an office in their home. If you work from home using your computer you should look into article writing.

Article writing is one of the little known options for working from home using your computer. Webmasters use articles to maximize the success of getting their website recognized by search engines. Most website
developers do not compose the articles for their websites themselves. They hire people to do it. This means that companies have surfaced who hire people to write short articles with specific keyword content to
provide this service to the webmasters. This has generated an opportunity for people who are seeking to work at home to earn a decent living. It is not a get rich scheme; you will not get rich writing articles. You will, with a lot of work and patience, be able to earn a paycheck and help to support your household.

Web articles do not need to be long and once you learn the tricks to writing them, you will find that you can create several articles an hour. If you work from home using your computer several hours per day, you can earn a decent amount of money each week. The articles are targeted to several keywords or keyword phrases. These keywords are strategically placed in the article to maximize the chances of the web crawlers picking up on those keywords. Articles are generally three hundred to six hundred words in length. That sounds like a lot, but it really does not take long to write even 1000 words. Many times you will be asked to write several articles on the same subject. This can be very
easy once you learn how to rewrite paragraphs.

If you choose to work from home with your computer, it is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who wants the opportunity to leave the rat race or spend more time with their children. It eliminates the need for after
school care, child care for young children, emergency arrangements for a sick child, and expensive wardrobes to accommodate the needs of your job.

It is also an excellent option for people who may be disabled or for other reasons unable to acquire traditional employment. You are able to work your own hours. You can work during the day, while the kids are at school, or at night after the kids go to bed. You can work while you cook. You can work while you do laundry.

Working from home is convenient to you and beneficial to both the person who chooses to employ you and to your family. If you choose to work from home using your computer, you will be very happy that you made the choice when you see how happy your family is to have you around all of the time.

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

As a promotional tool to drive targeted traffic to your web site, article writing is considered one of the key tools that should be employed. Promoting your site via the use of fresh, new articles or those from article directories has become very popular and convenient. Search engines want fresh article content because the people who use their search engines demand it. Even though most people use the Internet as a giant database, search engines view it like a massive information resource. When you view the internet from the perspective of the search engine and it is wise to do so, then when an article is rewritten it automatically becomes unique.

If you are the sort of person who likes to write ten you may want to compile your own articles and to help you I have listed a few tips which may help. Determine your topic first and then type in some keywords into a search engine, related to the subject and obtain enough information to write an article. Once you have your material, it’s important that you set it out correctly, with an introduction, a middle section, which will probably contain the core of the subject, and a conclusion. The end of an article should be a conclusion giving possible answers or a summary of what has been written and be about four sentences or so long with most are approximately four to five hundred words. Try not to write your article with long sections of text as people get bored as it can be quite hard on the eyes so break it up into useful paragraphs and finish with a resource box with your website link so you will get credit for your writing.

You can easily write articles for yourself or for others and it can be a very profitable business as well as enjoyable. Would you like to know one of the little known secrets to good article writing? Ideas can easily come from real life, for example, if you have a long and happy marriage, then write articles which help people with their relationships. If you would prefer not to write about your experiences, which would be a real waste, then why not write about smaller niche markets which can open up all manner of possibilities.

Good article writing techniques often win the day because many articles are saved primarily owing to the way they have been written and not because of the subject matter. By writing a piece every day to get the feel of writing and learn to identify the common problems faced by every other writer will improve your style very quickly. Writing this regularly has worked well for most writers as practice makes perfect. These are obviously only my guidelines and have worked for me and may not suit everyone but it’s important to remember that whatever method works for you, stick to them if you intend to write regularly.

Article Writing The Key Promotional Tool

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

It is widely considered that article writing is now one of the key promotional tools that should be employed to drive targeted traffic to your website. Promoting your site via the use of fresh, new articles or those from article directories has become very popular and convenient. The popular search engines want new, creative material and content for their users who are very demanding. As such, the major search engines view the internet as one huge resource for information just as internet users consider it to be an enormous database. If you’re considering this subject from the search engine’s point of view, which many people do, then rewriting an article simply means to make the article content unique.

You may wish to write completely fresh, unique content articles in which case there are certain points you need to remember. First of all, research your topic, there is a wealth of information you can search for before you start and all you need to do is enter a few keywords into a search engine. Setting the article out correctly is paramount otherwise it will not flow so you will need the subject introduction which may highlight a particular problem, then a middle section explaining the subject more, finishing with a conclusion. The structure is important but so is the length with most around 400 to 500 words with the conclusion about five sentences or so to summarize. Remember to split the article up into about four to five paragraphs for easier reading; once you have written the article, you need to include a resource box containing your information and any links.

Making money online isn’t just about writing articles for your self to promote your own website or business because you could even be asked to write articles for other people’s websites, blogs etc. If you are not full of ideas of what to write, then I can help you a way to start. Well, why not use ideas from your own experience, it could be anything but let’s say you enjoy fly fishing and want to tell people how to make their own flies. If you would prefer not to write about your experiences, which would be a real waste, then why not write about smaller niche markets which can open up all manner of possibilities.

To become a good article writer you should employ good writing techniques. Once you have found an unlimited source for ideas then you must write something every day for your skills to improve until it becomes second nature. Writing this regularly has worked well for most writers as practice makes perfect. I wish that these guidelines were like the Holy Grail of writing but they’re not although they have worked for many writers including myself, only you can decide whether it’s this system or another that best suits you, however, whatever method you choose, stick with it.

Some Article Marketing Tips 4U

Sunday, June 8th, 2008

Article marketing has turned out to be the most promising tool in today’s online home based business. Marketing with quality article is crucial for online business success and helps to drive massive amount of traffic to a web site.

A beneficial marketing strategy is to provide quality articles in a web site and submitting them to article directories. Having quality articles is one of the most significant powerful tools to attract large number of readers to a site.

With the help of articles, a web site owner can drive much traffic to the web site, get high ranking in major search engines and thus, boost the site earnings.

Article marketing is not merely writing articles and posting them on blogs or web sites. An article has to be effective, easy to read and understand, have attention-grabbing headline, interesting content and regular prospective readers.

However, if a site owner posts articles just for the sake of posting content and the articles do not have any interesting points, the site is of no use.

Tips for Article Marketing:

Below discussed are effective article marketing tips that a web site needs to consider for long-term benefits and drive massive amount of traffic generation:

Use Effective Keywords:
While writing article, it is essential to use targeted keywords. Usually, readers look for something more specific and type those keywords in search engines, which are simple and sound familiar. Hence, articles need to have simple and familiar wordings or phrases to target customers.

Write articles related to the web site. For instance, if a site is all about dogs and dog training, then include articles about pets, dogs and methods of training. However, do bit of research for beneficial keywords, before writing articles.

Check Keyword Density:
Keyword density is crucial for the search engines to accept the articles. After finalizing the keywords for an article, it is necessary to use them effectively. It is highly beneficial to have a keyword density between 10% and 15%. For instance, if the article is of 500 words, then keywords need to appear at least 10 to 15 times.

Excessive amount of keywords look like spamming and fail to attract more number of readers. On the other hand, search engines ignore articles having little amount of keywords. Hence, use keywords efficiently, so that not only search engines recognize the articles but also, readers find them informative.

Good quality Content:
In article marketing, content plays a crucial role in driving massive traffic generation. Write good quality content articles and make them more interesting, so that readers after reading once, come back to that site time after time. Informative articles also help to gain the trust of readers and increase traffic, resulting in an increase in the sales and earnings.

While submitting an article to the article directories, remember to include a web site link at its end. If the article is very informative and accurate, readers will certainly click on the web link and buy the promoted product.

To sum up, article marketing is one of the most beneficial ways to attract the traffic flow, gain the confidence of customers and earn good amount of money.
